AVIS has created many services for its customers to make car usage easier.

Below, we introduce all the options we currently offer. A precise list of the services associated with your vehicle is provided separately in the vehicle documentation.

Please review the descriptions of our services; this will give you confidence in using the leased vehicle and guide you in case of issues.

If you have any questions regarding any of the services, please call us at +372 6671 505 or email us at teenindus@avis.ee.

Insurances

We provide your vehicle with traffic and comprehensive insurance, already ordered by AVIS. The coverage area for both insurances is Europe, excluding Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia.

The traffic insurance policy is located among the vehicle documents; there is no accompanying policy for comprehensive insurance.

While traffic insurance ensures hassle-free claims handling in the event of an accident with another vehicle (if you are the victim) and covers property damage you may have caused (for example, accidentally backing into a power pole), comprehensive insurance also protects you in cases where the vehicle:

  • is damaged in a fire;
  • falls victim to vandalism;
  • is stolen or robbed;
  • suffers glass damage (covered for 1 glass claim per year without basic excess);
  • incurs damage that you did not even notice (for example, in some parking lots);
  • is the cause of an accident with another vehicle.

In the case of a comprehensive claim, an excess applies, the amount of which is specified on the front page of the full-service leasing contract.

Please also familiarize yourself with the detailed terms and conditions provided to you in addition to this memo.

Important to know!

Always keep the vehicle keys and documents with you. Do not leave valuable items in plain sight, nor various device chargers, when you leave the vehicle. Stolen items are not covered by insurance, and a broken window can cause damage to the vehicle’s interior and body, which will be more costly for you to rectify (the theft excess applies according to the full-service leasing contract).

Handling Insurance Claims

Call 112 and request assistance if:

  • there are injuries in the accident;
  • there is a danger to human life or health;
  • there is a risk to nature;
  • the parties involved in the traffic accident cannot agree on liability.

AVIS is here to help and advise you 24/7 at +372 667 1505. We will definitely:

  • come to the scene of the incident regardless of the time;
  • transport the vehicle away from the scene if further travel is not possible;
  • arrange for vehicle repair;
  • assist with document processing;
  • help communicate with other insurance companies.

An email notification regarding any incidents with the vehicle should be sent to teenindus@avis.ee as soon as possible. Our claims handler will then contact you to arrange all necessary procedures.

24/7 Customer Support

We offer 24-hour consultation at +372 667 1505 for any questions related to vehicle usage. If necessary, we can arrange transportation to a repair shop. We assist when, for example:

  • a technical failure occurs;
  • fuel unexpectedly runs out;
  • a tire bursts;
  • the battery is dead.

Organizing Technical Maintenance and Repairs

If the vehicle requires maintenance or needs to be taken to a repair shop, please call our 24/7 number at +372 667 1505. We will organize vehicle repairs/maintenance according to the manufacturer’s requirements.

Invoice Administration

All billing related to work done on your vehicle goes through AVIS. This means:

  • there is no need for on-site payment;
  • we verify the contents of invoices and the accuracy of the work performed;
  • we issue one consolidated invoice for the vehicle each month.

Returning the Vehicle at the End of the Contract Period

At the end of the contract, you are obliged to return the vehicle to us in the same condition and completeness in which it was at the time of handover, considering normal wear and tear. Upon return, the condition of the vehicle, including the tire tread depth, must comply with the requirements set forth in traffic regulations.

The return will be based on the guide from the Estonian Association of Car Sales and Service Enterprises (AMTEL) titled “Guidelines for Determining Natural and Unnatural Wear of Vehicles.”

We kindly ask you to use the vehicle responsibly and adhere to maintenance schedules to maintain the manufacturer’s warranty.

Regularly wash your vehicle and visually check the condition of the body.

To prevent the worsening of technical faults or other deficiencies, please call AVIS’s 24/7 service number at +372 667 1505 immediately after discovering them.

Fuel-Efficient Driving Tips

By regularly checking tire pressure, you can save on fuel costs and help the environment.

Wind resistance significantly affects fuel consumption under normal conditions. We recommend removing roof racks and boxes when not needed daily, which can save up to 25% in fuel costs.

Remove unnecessary extra weight from the trunk and cabin.

Plan your trips and assess traffic conditions—an anticipatory driving style (fewer accelerations/brakings) saves fuel and increases safety.

Air conditioning, seat heating, window heating, etc., consume fuel—turn them off when not needed.

The air conditioning should be turned on at least once a week for a short period to prevent technical failures.

Vehicle Usage Tips

We recommend checking tire condition at least once a month—uneven wear may indicate issues with the chassis.

When adding windshield washer fluid, also check the oil and coolant levels.

We suggest occasionally driving the vehicle at higher RPMs. Modern diesel engines use a particulate filter to reduce harmful soot particles, and higher RPMs help maintain it while ensuring lower fuel consumption.

Thank you for taking the time to familiarize yourself with the vehicle user memo, and we wish you a pleasant driving experience!
